Ahmed Mohamed is the Minister of Economic Development, Maldives. He started his professional career in 1989 at the Ministry of Planning and since then he has held several key positions in the Government. His experience in the Government of Maldives extends to a period of over 19 years, contributing to the national development policy planning and undertaking programmes to meet various developmental goals. Apart from his contributions to Government of Maldives, he has also served as Board of Director in number of state owned enterprises and also served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of State Trading Organisation (STO) in Maldives. He holds Masters of Economics in Public Policy from University of Hull, England
