Ibrahim Saleem is serving as a Board Director of Cyprea Private Limited, a company involved in Tourist Resort operations, Travel services, and logistics including operations of DHL worldwide service in Maldives. He has been holding this post since 1979. Apart from this, he has had an illustrious career spanning over 44 years, holding prominent posts, both in the public and private sector. Ibrahim Saleem commenced his career at the Office of the Prime Minister in 1967. He also served at the Maldives Shipping Limited until he was posted at the Department of Finance. He was the Vice Governor of the Maldives to the World Bank from 1982 to 1987.  He also served as a Member of the Parliament from 1998 to 2008. In 1993, he was appointed Managing Director of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). He was also the Acting Managing Director of Island Aviation Services Ltd since 2000 and was the Managing Director from 2002 to 2011. At the Island Aviation Services, he was instrumental in the expansion of the company in terms of fleet capacity of aircraft and passenger flows; and commencing international operations. He has also served as Member of the Board of Directors of State Owned Enterprises including Dhiraagu, Maldives National Shipping Ltd and as Chairman of the Board of MTCC and the Maldives Finance Leasing Company. He has a proven track record of turning around and transforming struggling enterprises and taking on challenging roles in his successful career.
